Weapons like Windhammer that don't offer defensive benefits are not really usable. This essentially means that weapons with high strength requirements are at an even greater disadvantage than they are. With how little overall sturdiness SS druids have now, every Vitality point is much more valuable. This low HP pool severely limits what weapons are usable as well. Even Assassins tend to have better average HP than a wolf or bear. Shapeshift GCs do little to help sturdiness HP/Max/AR charms are so much better that the SS GCs didn't seem worth keeping at all. Shifter HP is nerfed so hard that Wolfhowl Barbs make better shapeshifters than any other Druid based variant especially now that they get Fury. However, I cannot understand why Shapeshift druids have been made so much worse in this game. I also understand that PD2 is different from LoD and PoD, and that certain changes (specifically the Vitality changes) were made for a reason. I've built almost every variation of wolf and bear throughout my various Diablo II stints. I've been playing Shapeshift druids for a very long time now.
